German-based energy producing company, Siemens has launched the Ghana Customer Day in Accra. The opening ceremony was characterized with a forum which focused on the Technology as a catalyst for Business and Economic Development.

The forum brought together experts from Siemens who enlightened customers and stakeholders on the role of Siemens in business and Economic Development.

Speaking at the event, the Country Manager for Siemens Ghana, Mr. Edmund Acheampong touted the contributions of Siemens to the economy of Ghana.

According to him, Siemens has been a leading force in the creation of jobs and developing of skills in Ghana.

He stated that Siemens has contributed to the empowering young and upcoming engineers. He also hinted on the setting up of a Siemens automation Lab at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)

He added that, Siemens is committed to supporting the Oil and Gas sector as well as Manufacturing and Energy sectors of the Ghanaian economy.

The Special Guest of Honor at the event, Alhaji Hafiz Adam who is the Chief Director at the Ministry of Business Development called on Siemens to support Ghana in making the best use of its natural resources.
