The controversy over who stole a party’s manifesto is still raging with fresh information indicating the All People’s Congress, APC is going ahead to sue the largest opposition party, the NPP.

Impeccable sources close Hassan Ayariga, the APC Presidential candidate who is also battling the Electoral Commission over his disqualification, has put together a team of lawyers including copyright experts to prosecute the case.

This has been confirmed by Mr Ayariga who wont give further details for now till he is advised to give further commentary.

The APC, the Citizens Mail has gathered intends to set the records straight and protect the image of their flagbearer, who the NPP describes as a joker and a thief.

Officials of the party say but for the EC’s decision to disqualify some candidates including their party, the legal action would have been taken before Friday, October 14, 2016.

In a statement sighted by Citizens Mail and dated, October 10, 2016, APC Presidential candidate, Hassan Ayariga expressed shock that large portions of what it publicly outdoored to the nation, found itself in the NPP manifesto launched three days after.

The APC Manifesto was launched on Thursday October 6, at the Aviation Social Center while the NPP outdoored theirs on Sunday, October 10 at the Trade Fair Center, La.

Hassan Ayariga described as disgraceful, the unprofessional conduct of Nana Akufo Addo, his running mate Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and other NPP leaders who presented portions of the NPP manifesto.
Prior to the outdooring of the APC manifesto, the NPP had accused the governing NDC of stealing their manifesto. The party again accused the APC of doing same.

The case will be another interesting battle to watch with less than 52 days to the December 7 polls. Copyright lawyers and activists will equally be interested in how the arguments will pan out in court and what the ruling is likely to be like.
