The Supreme Court has adjourned businessman, Alfred Woyome’s case for a new panel to be constituted to hear the review of the judgment by Justice Anin Yeboah.

This follows an application by businessman Alfred Woyome,  which he prayed the apex court to stay proceedings over the case.

At the hearing on Thursday, December, 1 Justice Anin Yeboah said he was obliged to stay the oral examination of Mr Woyome by Mr Amidu until his (Anin Yeboah’s) earlier ruling on the matter had been reviewed by a panel of three justices expected to be empanelled by Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood on 6 December.

The NDC financier was expected to be orally cross examined November 24, 2017, by Mr. Amidu over the GH?51million he received as judgement debt from the government after the latter was given the green light to do so by the Supreme Court on November 16, 2016.

But two motions filed by Woyome at the Supreme Court, Wednesday, November 23, 2016, provoked the suspension of the cross examination, with the Court expected to continue hearing today Wednesday, November 1, 2016.

Woyome had prayed the Supreme Court to review the ruling of the Court presided over by Justice Anim Yeboah on November 16, 2016.

His second application was a request for a stay of proceedings to enable the Court to determine the motion for review.
