Former President John Dramani Mahama, Petitioner in the 2020 election petition is set to address the media later today at 5pm, following the verdict of the Apex Court on his case.

The Supreme Court, after weeks of hearing the case, today, Thursday, March 4, gave its final verdict.

In a unanimous decision, a seven-member panel of Supreme Court Judges dismissed the election petition on grounds of lack of merit.

Addressing the media after the ruling, one of the Petitioner’s lawyers, Abraham Amaliba said Mr Mahama will himself address the nation later today at his Cantonment residence.

"We are unable to address you now. We shall however address you through our flagbearer at 5pm at his office. I, therefore, entreat you all to carry your media to the flagbearer’s office at 5pm at cantonments. That is all we have for you and thank you very much."
