Swansea City have confirmed the club will not appeal a red card given to striker Jordan Ayew in the 10th minute of their 0-0 stalemate at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

The Ghanaian international was sent off for what was deemed a reckless challenge on Terriers midfielder Jonathan Hogg.

After careful consideration, the welsh club have reluctantly decided not to appeal referee Michael Oliver’s decision, meaning Ayew will be banned for the club’s next three matches.

He will therefore miss the Emirates FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham this coming weekend as well as the Premier League trips to Manchester United and West Brom.
