Swansea City manager Steve Cooper is confident Andre Ayew will still be at the club when the transfer window slams shut on Monday.

The Ghana captain has been linked with a move away from the Welsh club on countless occasions but has not given any indication yet that he wants to move on.

Despite Swansea City failing to secure promotion to the English Premier League last season, the 30 year old decided to stay in the Championship with the Swans.

Andre Ayew has started the season in an emphatic fashion just as he ended last season.

Ahead of transfer deadline day on Monday, Steve Cooper is confident his star man will stay at the club.

"What I see every day with Andre is a motivated player that's contributed hugely through his own performances and also to the players around him," Cooper said.

"I speak to Andre regularly and I am fairly sure if something was happening he would be honest with me. We just carry on as normal."

Ayew impressed after joining Swansea in 2015, with his form earning him a £20.5m move to West Ham in 2016.

He returned to Swansea in a club-record deal in January 2018, but could not save them from Premier League relegation and joined Fenerbahce on loan in July, 2018.
