Swiss international of Ghanaian descent, Kwadwo Duah, was on the scoresheet as Ludogorets Razgrad secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ferencvárosi TC in the UEFA Europa League play-off phase on Thursday night.
The 28-year-old forward opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, calmly converting to give the Bulgarian champions an early advantage and set the tone for an intense European encounter.
Ferencváros responded swiftly. Nigerian forward Yusuf Bamidele levelled matters just four minutes later, striking in the 27th minute to restore parity and silence the home crowd.
But Ludogorets regained control in the second half. Son restored the lead in the 67th minute, a decisive moment that ultimately separated the two sides and ensured the hosts carried a slender advantage from the tie.
For Duah, the goal adds to his growing influence on the European stage this season, underlining his importance to Ludogorets’ attacking ambitions as they push for progress in the competition.
On a night of fine margins, it was the Swiss-Ghanaian forward who set the platform for victory, delivering when it mattered most.
