Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has been applauded by Techiman Old Players Association(TOPA) during his tour of the Bono and Ahafo Regions.

The group of old players presented a beautifully woven smock to the GFA boss.

TOPA which is headed by Ntow Gyan a former Black Stars player heaped plaudits on the GFA President for his outstanding leadership and his all inclusive leadership of the GFA.

They also commended the GFA President and his team for embarking on such a tour as it will help revive the game within the enclave.

“We are happy the president has visited us here in Techiman. This is something we have never seen before; that the sitting president of the GFA is visiting clubs,” he said.

“Apart from that, we want to thank the president for his undiluted preference for competent people to be part of the technical team and also given some of our old players the opportunity to serve the country again. We are grateful,” Ntow Gyan added.

The GFA President and his team have on their tour of the Bono and Ahafo Regions visited 2 Premier League sides and 10 division one league sides.

They are currently in the Northern Regions and will visit the four Division one league sides, female teams and juvenile clubs among others.
