Following his third senior international game for the three lions of England, Calum Hodgson-Odoi has been criticized for poor performances.

The Chelsea winger of Ghanaian roots was handed a starting Berth by Gareth Southgate in the Euro 2020 Qualifier against Kosovo.

But the 19-year-old failed to make an impact on his third international appearance, with former Manchester United midfielder and ITV pundit Roy Keane slamming Hudson-Odoi for giving away the ball too often.

Keane who has a reputation for criticizing players dating back from his playing days under Sir Alex Ferguson and Hudson-Odoi is the latest player to feel Keane’s harsh criticism.

Hudson-Odoi hasn’t taken his chance yet,’ said the former Manchester United captain.

‘He isn’t stretching the defense and has given the ball away too cheaply. He needs to step his game up in the second half.’

Former Arsenal player Lee Dixon who was also on the panel echoed similar thoughts to Roy Keane

“There are only two games left before the squad is announced. He needs to just run at his full-back. He has to attack more rather than playing the ball inside.”

After a sparkling return to action, the 19-year old’s form has faded, and he looks lacking confidence.

Christian Pulisic has taken his place for Chelsea, and it’s going to be tough for him to earn the minutes he needs to regain both his own confidence and also that of his club and country managers.

Hudson-Odoi signed a lucrative contract at the club at the start of the season after being linked with a move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the January transfer window.
