Mr Seth Yeboah Ocran, the Chief Executive Officer of YOKS Investment Limited, has charged students to have vision in order to drive their desire towards success.

He said having vision makes one creative, which in turn makes the fellow standout, adding that the two has direct correlation to success.

Mr Ocran said this when he facilitated an entrepreneurship session at the Success Africa 2016 event at the University of Cape Coast.

The mainly tertiary students event organised by the LEC Group was on the theme: "Scaling New Heights" with personalities such as actor Majid Michel, Mrs Gillian Hammah, Chief Marketing Officer, Databank and Mrs Petra Asamoah, Director 3FM.

Mr Ocran said a business entrepreneur would always identify an opportunity in a situation and that's what brings success and development of companies.

Recounting his experience as a former bus conductor to a well-established entrepreneur, the YOKS Rent-A-Car CEO said, Ghana is riddled with lot problems and once one is focused on solving at least one of these problems, entrepreneurship becomes inevitable.

Underscoring the importance of having an idea, he indicated that although money is crucial in the beginning of any venture, having an idea is the first requirement for any entrepreneur.

He urged the students to abandon the common notion popular among the youth, that one needs a certain footing in life in order to start a business.

'life is not an event that you organise in a day and that is it, it's a process and nowhere is little in life to begin a business from," he added.

On research, Mr Ocean said, having an extensive knowledge of the industry one is venturing into is key in a business' survival.

He said once in business, the other things such as, effective customer care, carving a niche, systems and structures become fundamental to the business growth and progress.
