Truck runs over policeman on Tema-Nungua beach road

A policeman has been killed on the Tema-Nungua Beach road after he was run over by an articulated trailer truck.
According to a report by MyNewsGh the officer, who was in uniform, was run over while riding a motorbike.
The sad incident is reported to have happened on Tuesday June 18, at around 4pm, an eyewitness said.
The police officer and vehicle where both heading towards Tema, with the former riding in front of the truck on the same lane.
However, the driver of the truck appeared to lose control after reportedly failing his brakes, which resulted in him running over the policeman.
The uniformed police officer died on the spot after the accident, but his identity is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has since been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital.
