NEW DELHI: In August last year, micro blogging website Twitter revealed that it is testing a new interface for web which will include Explore and Bookmark features. Now after months of testing the company has finally started rolling out its new design interface for users. The new design will not pop-up automatically, in fact some Twitter users need to opt-in to access the redesign.
As per Twitter, some users have received a new opt-in option which will enable them to switch over to the new Twitter interface. The company claims that the new design is cleaner, modern and more simplified as compared to the earlier one. Along with the redesign the company is also introducing a new emoji button which will allow users to easily access and add the emojis in the tweet when using the desktop version.

In an official post the company said, "A new https://twitter.com is coming. Some of you got an opt-in to try it now. Check out the emoji button, quick keyboard shortcuts, upgraded trends, advanced search, and more. Let us know your thoughts!"

The Twitter users will also notice an updated trending section, there are also quick keyboard shortcuts and an improved searching option. Earlier, the desktop version consisted of three columns which are now replaced by two.

Recently, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey revealed that Twitter’s dark mode is going to become darker. One of the Twitter user complained that the dark mode of Twitter is not really dark and is bluish in colour. To this the Twitter CEO replied that it will be fixed soon.

It has been observed that the dark mode or the night mode is gaining a lot of popularity among users. There are many popular apps available which already offer dark mode functionality. The popular messaging app WhatsApp also announced that it will soon roll out dark mode for its users.
