General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has said that the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has no integrity to talk about or jump to the defence of the embattled Auditor-General, Mr Daniel Yaw Domelevo.

According to him, the two-faced NDC is only courting more trouble for the Auditor-General.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that inasmuch as the Auditor-General has his own issues with EOCO, it is not up to the NDC to jump to the defence of the man.

"When they do that, they make it look very political and will affect the Auditor-General’s attracted sympathy," he said.

"How do you even believe the NDC when they have not been consistent with their issues?"

"At one point, they are speaking in favour of a policy, at another point, they are against it, so why should Ghanaians waste time listening to them, let alone understand what they are saying. The New Patriotic Party has no intentions or whatsoever to persecute the Auditor-General," he assured.

He said Institutions must be allowed to do their work, and if the Auditor-General feels things are not right, he must follow due process to defend his course.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the government is scheming to get the Auditor-General, Mr Daniel Yaw Domelevo removed.
