Two Swedru School of Business students granted GHc10,000 bail over alleged assault

Two students of Swedru School of Business have been granted bail of GH¢10,000 each after appearing before court over allegations that they assaulted a student from Obrachire Senior High Technical School.
The accused, Benedict Appiah and Bilal Mamid, were arraigned on assault-related charges but pleaded not guilty when the charges were read to them in court.
Following their plea, the court admitted the two students to bail in the sum of GH¢10,000 each, with conditions while the case continues.
The matter has been adjourned to April 17 for further hearing.
According to information presented in court, the alleged incident involved a confrontation between the accused students and a student of Obrachire Senior High Technical School, which reportedly escalated into an assault.
Meanwhile, authorities say investigations are still ongoing in connection with a third suspect believed to have been involved in the incident but who has not yet been apprehended.
The case is expected to resume on the adjourned date as the court continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.
