Veteran Ghanaian actress, Dzifa Gomashie has officially launched her campaign to vie for the Ketu South seat in the Volta Region on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)
The former Deputy Minister of Arts, Tourism and Culture kicked off her political campaign on Wednesday 31st July 2019 at Aflao in the Volta Region.
Madam Gomashie is contesting for the NDC Parliamentary primaries ahead of 2020 for the Ketu-South Constituency.
The campaign launch was attended by notable politicians, friends, family, Chiefs and Queens.
Launching her campaign, Dzifa Gomashie entreated all concerned citizens to rally behind her to build stronger grassroots, stronger branches and a stronger Constituency to change the narrative about Ketu South.
She believes her election to Parliament would inspire many young women and young people as she continued her human development mission.
The incumbent and former Deputy Minister of finance, Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey has decided not to contest the seat again.

I successfully launched my campaign on Wednesday 31st July at 2pm in Aflao. I couldn’t have asked for more.
I am grateful to you General MKGA. I can’t believe how blessed I am to have you beside me. Thank you Chiefs and Queens. Thank you so much dear delegates of Ketu South. Thank you m yh colleague former Assembly members of the KSMA. Such loyalty i s rare and I do not take it for granted.
I thank my family, my sister-comrades Mawuena Dumor, Queenstar Pokuah Sawyerr Nhyiraba Obaatanpa Sawyerr, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, whose name was “murdered” by my grandson, Yayra Portia Klu, my brother-comrades Bill Boglo, Julius Neequaye Kotey Kootse and the squad. You all made the float fun and the launch a fantastic experience.
