Forgotten man Alex Asamoah 'Makwekwe' says he has not retired from football and is open to a move to any club that wants him ahead of the start of the 2020/2021 football season which starts next month.

Despite playing for nearly half a dozen Ghana Premier League clubs, Asamoah is only 34 years and yearns to play more football.

The former Kotoko striker last played for Béninois outfit UPI-ONM FC  but is now without a club after leaving them.

Speaking to Pure FM, Alex Asamoah says he is still fit and willing to sign for any club that needs his services.

"In terms of the player's salary, Benin is better than Ghana. My contract with UPI-ONM FC in Benin has expired so I am free to join any other club even a 3rd division club.

“I am fit to play for two hours and I don't care what people will say about my age”, the veteran forward said.

Alex Asamoah has in the past played for Asante Kotoko, Aduana Stars, Berekum Arsenal and Ashanti Gold SC.
