Hajia Mariama had been unwell and hospitalized over the past few weeks.

May Allah admit her to Jannah Inalillahi wa ina ilaihi raji’un,” the radio station posted on the Facebook page.

Hajia Mariama fondly called Maame was born on September 15, 1939, and died at the age of 81. She died two days away from her 82nd birthday.
