It took the nation by storm as no one had envisaged it happening,on Saturday H.E John Evans Attah Mills had celebrated his 68th birthday although he looked frail but little did we know it was all going to end the next Tuesday.

It was a sombre day, the day was very quiet as you could hear a needle drop, It was as if the day was preparing as for the unexpected, birds could be heard squeaking loudly and clouds hovered all over the skies.

Not too long after mid day news started filtering in that, the President had died after been rushed to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.

As usual the rumour mill was in overdrive with all manner of news coming out but in all this the disbelief was rampant as this man had been declared dead before in South Africa which proved to be a hoax.

I believe many Ghanaians may have readily welcomed another death hoax of the then President, just that this time it was true he had succumbed to the icy hands of death.

Musicians all over the country could not hold back their grief and sorrow as they quickly came together composing a touching tribute song for the fallen President.

It was a nice tune although sorrowful but had all the creme de la creme in the music industry from the secular to the gospel side.

Of you have forgotten that song, catch a glimpse below.
