Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila is unable to travel to Austria to meet up with his new Red Star Belgrade teammates in pre-season camp due to issues with acquiring a visa.

The 25-year-old centre-back joined the Serbian giants on a season long loan deal from Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia a week ago.

Sumaila will train in Belgrade as he awaits the return of coach Milojević and his side from the Austria.

The hardworking defender is now the only Ghanaian at the club following the departure of Akwasi Frimpong and Richmond Boakye Yoadom last season.

The former Asante Kotoko SC star enjoyed a remarkable campaign in the Far East with Al Qadisia in the Kuwait league to earn himself a move into the mainstream of European football.
