Chief Executive Officer of Wa All Stars Oduro Nyarko has responded to WAFA captain Mohammed Alhassan for alleging that referee Justice Opoku told him “the 3 points was for WA All Stars” during their 1-1 stalemate on Sunday.

Referee Justice Poku awarded Wa All Stars two controversial penalties, one which was wasted before the official dished out a red card to WAFA goalkeeper Richmond Ayi for two bookable offences - to the irritation of the supporters at the stadium.

Alhassan then vented his frustration after the match in an interview on Oyerapa FM saying; ”how can you give these penalties,am not surprised a bit because the referee told me he was on the pitch to help WA ALL Stars secure the three points. I suspect he was influenced to officiate badly against us"

However, the outspoken CEO, has asked the football fraternity to treat the allegations with all the contempt it deserves.

"how on earth will any referee in his right senses say that if really that was his intentions. The player speaking is too young to be saying such things,he was a kid when I started football may be his mother hadn't even given birth to him and so should not start a fight he can't finish.WA All Stars is not interested in help from any referee,we have no hand in that if that's what he suspects" Oduro Nyarko on Oyerepa FM
