Gabon star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was jeered by embittered fans at the Signal Iduna park in Dortmund’s 2-2 Bundesliga draw at to Freiburg.

Having been dropped for the last two matches amid speculations that he was holding out for a move to Arsenal, Aubameyang made his first start in a month and the fans made sure they registered their displeasure with his attitude in the past weeks.

“No player is bigger than our club,” said a banner unfurled by angry Dortmund supporters.

Aubameyang reacted after the match to the treatment he received from his own fans during the game through a post on his Instagram page.

With just a few days to the close of the transfer window, Dortmund insist only a bid of  €70 million will be accepted for their top-scorer after reportedly rejecting a second bid by Arsenal of €58 million.
