Kofi Asante Mensah Writes...

I am not only shocked at the swift responses, by former President John Dramani Manama, H.E President Akufo - Addo and some government officials in the wake of Ahmed Hussein Suale's gruesome murder.

I ask myself, are these people "haste commentary" because Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Tiger Eye PI is a global brand? Or we as a people glorify death? Yes death!!! We hail it?

We have counted 31 media assaults and murders between January and December 2018 in Reporters Without Borders first best Africa Press Freedom country (Ghana), and President Akufo Addo and former President John Dramani Mahama are yet to publicly write a statement or make speech in condemnation of this growing heinous act.

Have they decided to shamefully remain silence and offer no help to the assaulted but living journalists? E.g. Latif Iddrisu, Parker Wilson etc.

Not even petitions and demonstrations can push these politically opportunistic people to do the right thing *?* What do you think *?*

The fact is, we will forever remain unmovable, unshakeable, unperturbed and resolute in making sure Ghana works again devoid of partisan politicization of issues.

Journalists in Ghana deserves better, tell President Akufo Addo and John Dramani Mahama.
