Former Black Stars captain and Ghana's all time top scorer Asamoah Gyan says that the Black Stars did not play with ambition and passion in their loss to Comoros.

For the first time in the history of the African Cup of Nations, Ghana played at the tournament without recording a single win in the three group matches as Ghana lost their opening game 1-0 to Morocco before drawing 1-1 with Gabon and lost 3-2 to minnows Comoros on Tuesday evening.

Speaking as a pundit on Super Sports, Asamoah Gyan who played at seven different AFCON tournaments said he was disappointed Ghana had exited the tournament.

"We didn't play with ambition and passion. I have been in the game for a long time. I'm very disappointed that we are going out. We shouldn't have gone out. I'm really disappointed"

"This is not the usual Ghana team. However, we played better with 10 men. It's very disappointing

“I am very disappointed. You cannot win the game with that kind of attitude. You have to give the people something to talk about. I don’t know how people are going to feel back home”he added.

Ghana will now turn their attentions to the 2022 World Cup qualifiers with the pairings to be done on January 22.
