Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has rubbished some media reports going round that the club rather buys jerseys from their official kit sponsors Errea.

The club announced a three years kit sponsorship agreement when the young football administrator took over the management of the club.

But his detractors have averred that the jerseys are bought by the club instead of being handed over to them for free by their sponsors.

Speaking in an interview on Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, the CEO who was obviously frustrated told those detractors to show a little respect to Kotoko and their sponsors adding that their sponsorship is worth 56,000 Euros.

"Sometimes when some people are speaking they should show some respect to Asante Kotoko and also our partners

A big Italian company like Errea have announced on their website that they sponsor Kumasi Asante Kotoko and someone will set somewhere and lie that we buy jerseys from them."

"They sponsor the Italian Olympic team at the Olympics games and sponsor clubs in the English Premier League like Norwich and others Kotoko do not buy jerseys from Errea as we have a sponsorship deal of 56,000 Euros per year worth of products."

"But as per every kit sponsorship deal you must sell replica jerseys to offset cost and that is what we do."
