Legon Cities FC striker, Asamoah Gyan says his side need to be consistent in winning matches to be able to escape relegation.

Despite improving under experienced head coach Bashir Hayford, the Royal club is still in danger of suffering relegation at the end of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

For Asamoah Gyan who has seen it all after enjoying a stellar football career, he is optimistic his Legon Cities FC side can improve in the coming weeks to better their position on the standings of the division.

“What I will say is we need to win consecutive matches. In life, you need to be consistent and that is the problem we have faced. Sometimes we play some good football but in the end, we lose. Although we didn’t start well in the season but so far we have lifted our performance when compared to the first round,” the Ghana great said in an interview with Metro TV.

Asamoah Gyan continued, “We need consistency and I’m sure we will talk to ourselves and make sure we win matches continuously so that we stay in the Ghana Premier League.”

Ahead of matchday 21 of the Ghana Premier League this weekend, Asamoah Gyan has set sight on playing after shaking off a worrying injury.
