Head coach of Nigerian side Kano Pillars, Ibrahim Musah says he is confident of his sides progress in the second leg fixture of the preliminary stage of the Caf Champions League.

Asante Kotoko will host Nigeraian side Kano Pillars in the 2nd leg fixture of the tie at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium after the first leg encounter in Kano ended 3-2 in favour of the home side.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi Fm, the head coach was buoyant that his side although have lots of respect for Asante Kotoko they will sail through at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday.

The experienced trainer cited his teams efforts in away games as an example stating that the first time they participated in a CAF inter club competition under his watch they drew 1-1 at home and went to far away Egypt to draw 2-2 with African giants Al Ahly.

He also asserts that his team is tactically superior to that of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and will do everything possible to secure qualification come this weekend.

“In our first appearance in the CAF continental competition,we reached the semi finals stage by playing a 1-1 draw in Nigeria and a 2-2 draw in Egypt with Al-Ahly so there's no team in Africa that we fear.”

“It is the reason why we have the confidence of beating Kotoko and I'm confident we will defeat Kotoko in Kumasi. Every department of my team is technically discipline.”

“We are in Kaduna preparing because of the natural grass we will play on against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara stadium. We are expecting to leave Nigeria on Thursday or Friday.” he said.
