Kumasi Asante Kotoko have swiftly responded to allegations by an Algerian agent by name Adem Hammouche who claims brokered the deal that transferred Kwame Opoku to USM Algiers.

He says he and one other Egyptian Sherif Farouk El Sayed were given a mandate letter by the club to transfer striker Kwame Opoku.

According to him after the deal had been concluded, Kotoko CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah has refused to pick his calls nor pay him his cut of the deal which he says is 45,000 euros.

Kotoko have in an eight point letter enumerated why they owe no agent and that having a mandate letter from the club does not mean the said agaent did any work in the player's transfer.

They have also stated that at no point the the transfer involve any agent as it was conducted between both clubs without the involvement of any agent.

Aside that Kotoko have branded the said Adem Hammouche as an imposter as after further checks they have realized that his real name is Salim and is domiciled in France and not in Algeria as he claims.

Kotoko also state that if he indeed was the agent who brokered the transfer he would have known that the Algerian side is yet to pay Kotoko a dime as at now.
