The Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini says the minority will not hesitate to walk out from the august House if the newly elected MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan attempts to address the house.

“We will never recognize her in any way in the house and when she attempts to address the house, we will walk out,” – this he said is a collective decision by the minority.

The Minority walked out of Parliament in protest at the swearing in of newly-elected MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, on Tuesday.

Some Minority MPs shouted "shame" and jeered as the Speaker of Parliament read the summons from the Electoral Commission.

Some also held up placards with the inscription “bloody widow”, in reference to the confusion in the incidents of brutality from National Security personnel during the by-election.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini noted that “until the right thing is done, we will never recognize this woman in parliament.”

According to him, the minority "has no regrets" of tagging Madam Alhassan as “bloody widow”.
