Former board member of Accra Hearts of Oak Aziz Haruna Futa has said he is against suggestions Hearts of Oak’s assistant coach Henry Wellington be named the club’s substantive head coach.

Coach Wellington took over as assistant coach of the side last month and is tasked with overseeing the team in the G6 tournament.

“Not at all, Henry Wellington cannot coach Accra Hearts of Oak, even me I can coach Accra Hearts of Oak and beat Kotoko. Hearts and Kotoko is not about three points; it’s about pride and everybody plays a part. We need a strong coach to take charge of Accra Hearts of Oak, not Henry Wellington,” he told Class Sports.

He, however, backed management to name former Asante Kotoko coach Didi Dramani as head coach of the Phobians.

“I personally support the appointment of Didi Dramani as head coach of Phobia because he is a professional coach. He has coached Asante Kotoko and won the league with them, so he is better for Accra Hearts of Oak,” he added.
