It was dubbed the super clash and for the first time in so many years the Kotoko vs Hearts clash was played behind closed doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The match ended goalless as Hearts of Oak of drew goalless with Kumasi Asante Kotoko in a pulsating 0-0 drawn game with both sides missing penalty kicks.

Interim coach of Hearts of Oak Samuel Nii Noi says it was very uncomfortable playing against Kumasi Asante Kotoko behind closed doors.

Speaking in the post match press conference he said it was very empty playing football without fans in the stadium as it had an impact on his team.

When queried whether it had a toll on his side he said what is football without spectators.

“Playing without supporters in such a nice match definitely, supporters without football is totally empty, nothing profitable about it”

Captain for the phobian Fatau Mohamed also seconded his coach “As coach said, playing without fans is very difficult because when they are there they do give us motivation and stuffs so without them is not easy” he said.
