A woman who allegedly stabbed  her boyfriend leading to his death has been charged before an Accra court.

Charlotte Agbenu was charged with murder when she appeared before the court but her plea was not taken.

The presiding judge, Mr Isaac Addo remanded her in police custody.

The facts of the case as presented to the court by the prosecutor, Chief Inspector Gregory Yeboah, were that Charlotte and Johnson Deho, the deceased, had  been in a relationship for two years and   lived at Tesano in Accra.

He said on October 19, 2016, a misunderstanding ensued between the couple, during which Deho assaulted Charlotte.

Prosecutor Yeboah said during the scuffle, a neighbour, one Emmanuel Amoako who is also the complainant in the case, intervened and separated them.

C/Inspector  Yeboah said Charlotte went into the room while Amoako sought to find out the reason  for  the   argument from  Deho but he  refused to tell him.

The prosecutor  said later, Deho decided to go to bed  but  when  he entered the room, Charlotte who  was armed with a knife stabbed  him in the stomach.

C/Inspector   Yeboah  said   when  Deho attempted to run, she stabbed him again, this time in the back.

He  said  Deho bled profusely and was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was pronounced dead a few minutes after arrival.

The prosecutor told the court that the body is awaiting autopsy.
