Stop-gap coach Yaw Preko could be handed the Hearts of Oak job on a permanent basis if wins their remaining three matches.

Board member Dr Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has revealed after Preko was appointed to replace re-assigned Sergio Traguil.

Tamakloe observed Preko’s training session last week and remains convinced about his qualities.

"If he wins the rest of the matches and we are convinced he is good, we wouldn’t hesitate to make him (Preko) the substantive coach,” he said.

Preko, 41, served as assistant coach to Kenichi Yatsuhashi and Portugese trainer Traguil- all this season.

The ex-Ghana international and Hearts of Oak winger will take charge of his first match on Sunday against Ebusua Dwarfs at home.
