Angelious Akurugu Adongo and Nafizah Jenenuba Dauchebile, two budding referees from Ghana’s "Catch Them Young" program, showcased their skills in the Boys' final of the WAFU B African Schools Football Championship.

The match, held at the Fenifoot Technical Centre on November 23, 2024, saw Adongo take charge as the Centre Referee, while Dauchebile served as the Fourth Official in the clash between Côte d'Ivoire and Benin.

Both officials earned the opportunity to officiate the final after standout performances during the group stage and semi-finals.

Adongo, hailing from the Upper East Region, and Dauchebile, from the Upper West Football Region, demonstrated remarkable composure and professionalism throughout the tournament.

Launched in 2020 by GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, the "Catch Them Young" policy aims to identify and train young individuals passionate about refereeing.

The program has made significant strides, with its graduates officiating high-profile matches in the Women’s Premier League, Division One League, and FA Cup, as well as regional competitions.

The GFA remains committed to nurturing young referees, recognizing their critical role in the growth and excellence of Ghanaian football.
