Activist of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Yayra Koku Deku has launched an attack on the person of Veteran journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako who earlier incurred the wrath of Ghanaians on social media following a comment he made Saturday about Citi News Caleb Kudah’s claim that he was tortured by operatives of the National Security Council Secretariat.

According to Yayra, Mr. Baako is a hypocrite who puts his stomach first following comments of the latter on the Caleb Kudah saga.

It will be recalled MyNewsGh.com broke news of the arrest of Caleb Kudah and his colleague Zoe Abu Baidoo days ago. The issue has since assumed various dimensions following revelations that Caleb Kudah had filmed some MASLOC cars at the National Security Yard without lawful authority.

Commenting on the saga Joy News’ current affairs programme on Saturday, May 15, 2021, Mr. Baako had said and later further explained that the decision by the management of Citi FM to delay disclosure reinforces the doubt that the alleged physical assault or torture allegation by Caleb Kudah was an “afterthought”.

The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper said:

“Talk to lawyers and ask about the principle of contemporaneity in litigation in our courts of competent jurisdiction and/or established enquiries. Going home to bath and report to work the following day or days could undermine the sanctity of evidence needed to make a case! Ask the lawyers!” he wrote.

But reacting to the development, NDC’s Yayra Koku Deku says Mr. Baako lacks integrity and is a hypocrite.

He wrote: According to Samson Lardy Anyenini, on NewsFile, they put the interest of Ghana First. But the surprising thing is, they keep bringing Kweku Baako, who always put his stomach interest first.

That guy has no integrity—a big-time Hypocrite.”

Mr. Kwaku Baako has come under attack over the weekend for his views on the Caleb saga.
