The Ghana Football Association has officially unveiled Zylofon Media as the headline sponsor for the Ghana Premier League today, at the Kempiski Hotel.

CEO of the Zylofon Group Nana Appiah Mensah and the President of GFA Kwesi Nyantakyi signed the multi-million dollar agreement at the ceremony held in Accra.

Ghana’s top-flight will henceforth be known as the Zylofon Cash Ghana Premier League.

The country's football governing body will receive an amount of $2m every year for the next five years from Zylofon Group as the sponsors of the country's domestic league.

The Ghana Premier League has failed to attract sponsors for the past three years after First Capital Plus pulled out their sponsorship in 2015.

However, the new multi-million sponsorship package will see every Premier League club pocketing $70, 000 every year.

The 16 Premier League club will be given an initial amount of $35, 000 out of the principal $1m and part of the principal amount will be given to Division One clubs for the officiating fee.

The winner of the Premier League will also take home an amount of $40,000.
