Outstanding golfers from the championship would have the opportunity to play for the qualifiers to participate in the global event.
Professional Golfers Association (PGA) spokesperson, Nana Prempeh told the GNA Sports that Korblah, Barnni and Torgah were selected on merit and had the credentials to represent and win laurels for Ghana and the PGA.
He added that Torgah, who is currently the leading golfer in West Africa after winning most of the major competitions in the sub-region, including Senegal Open and Gabon Open, has the ability to excel in Mongomo.
“Although golf is an individual sport, this time around we have three golfers representing Ghana at the international level and we pray they perform well.
“The level of play they have exhibited in recent tournaments organised show their preparedness and I am sure they will perform,” Nana Prempeh added.
