The Ministry for Sports and Recreation has lauded the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for its professionalism and collaborative spirit as the Black Stars’ budget for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers nears presidential approval.

Speaking on the matter, Minister Kofi Adams praised the GFA’s conduct during the budgeting process:

“These engagements are often technical and time-sensitive, and the posture of the Association throughout has reflected a shared commitment to proper governance and accountability.”

Budget Breakdown are as follows:

The GFA submitted its estimates on September 18, totaling $1.12 million to cover:

  • Travel and accommodation

  •  Training and logistics

  • Per diems and match bonuses

  •  Operational support for fixtures

The budget supports preparations for the Black Stars 2025 FIFA World Cup qualifiers doubleheader against Central Africa Republic on October 8 2025 and the final fixture against Comoros at home on October 12 2025.

Ghana must secure at least four points from the two matches to stay on course for World Cup qualification, making timely budget approval critical to ensuring optimal preparation and performance.
