Bagbin elected president of African Parliamentarians’ Network Against Corruption

Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has been elected President of the African Parliamentarians’ Network Against Corruption (APNAC) at the Network’s 9th Biennial General Meeting held in Accra.

In his acceptance remarks, Speaker Bagbin expressed humility and reaffirmed his commitment to advancing integrity in public service and supporting Africa’s united fight against corruption.

He commended the outgoing President and Board Members for their dedication and leadership, noting that their efforts had built a strong foundation for APNAC’s continued growth.

“The Network remains grateful for your commitment, collective wisdom, and lasting contribution,” he said assuring members of his readiness to work collaboratively to strengthen the organisation’s vision and mission.

As the newly elected President, Bagbin highlighted the importance of unity and partnership in achieving APNAC’s objectives, stressing that collaboration among members is key to improving parliamentary oversight, promoting accountability, and fostering a culture of integrity across the continent.
