Democracy Hub convener Oliver Barker-Vormawor has reported being robbed near the Achimota Overhead on Wednesday, November 20, losing several valuable items in the incident.

In a Facebook post shared shortly after the alleged attack, Barker-Vormawor said the robbery occurred “not less than 30 minutes ago” and listed the items taken.

According to him, the stolen belongings included his MacBook, iPad, Google Pixel 9, GH₵9,500 in cash, credit cards, house keys, two wallets, Sony headphones and several books. He ended the post with a brief “Hmmm,” expressing shock and frustration.

A few hours later, he provided an update indicating that his Google Pixel had been recovered but badly damaged.

“Google Pixel found. Must have fallen when he was running. But car tyres got to it first!” he wrote, suggesting the device slipped from the robber during the escape and was run over by a vehicle.

Barker-Vormawor has not yet shared further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident or whether the matter has been reported to the police.
