Bernard Owusu elected as new chairman of TUC

Bernard Owusu has been elected as the new Chairman of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) in Ghana.

Before his election, Mr. Owusu served as the National Chairman of the General Transport Petroleum Chemical Workers Union (GTPCWU).

He succeeds Alex Opoku-Nyarko, whom he defeated by securing 347 votes in the election.

Deputy Secretary General Joshua Ansah has also been appointed as the substantive Secretary General, replacing Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah.
