Bole-Bamboi MP apologises for harassing TV3 reporter

The Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana has apologised for harassing a reporter working with TV3.

The MP, who won a second term bid in the just-ended election was seen on TV preventing the NDC MP for Elembelle from granting an interview to a reporter of TV3 when the Minority caucus embarked on a walk to present a petition to the Electoral Commission in Accra.

Speaking at a New Year get together with the local council churches in Bole on Friday, Alhaji Sulemana said after a sober reflection he has regretted his action and apologises for same.

“It’s not my nature, I was seen pushing things and doing things and pastor drew my attention to it, I apologise for that, it’s not a good thing and I regret that and I pray it doesn’t repeat itself,” Alhaji Yusif said.

He said the events of the day and the events of the day as they were prevented from presenting their petition didn’t go down well with some of them hence his actions “but naturally I want to apologise for that and I pray that such things shouldn’t happen so that one will misconduct himself.”

The MP also asked the pastors to pray for the country and Parliament as they meet on 6th January to inaugurate the new Parliament.

He said the country was at a crossroads with no party having a majority in Parliament at the moment and they will need God’s intervention to put the country first.
