A member of the Ghana Football Association legal team Naa Odofoley Nortey has disclosed chilling revelation of how she was forced to abandon her home due to threats that was coming her way.

At the time Naa Odofoley was a member of the Normalization Committee an adhoc body constituted by world footballing body FIFA in collaboration with the government of Ghana after the number 12 documentary was aired.

She has revealed that there was incessant threat on her prior to the elections that she was forced to vacate her abode.

The committee was greeted with a lot of criticism from the hallowed 'football people' who saw everything they did in bad light.

As if threats on her alone was enough, she says her parents too were not spared as they were also subject of vile attacks from faceless persons to the extent that her parents at times feared for their lives.

According to her she was surprised that a 'mere' GFA elections will result in such vile and unwanted threats towards her.

“Unfortunately, I heard those messages and it was appalling. I am capable of fighting my own battles," she told Accra based Angel FM.

"I have ways of dealing with such people. Spiritually, I’m a Catholic so I could have fought that as well. I heard those shameless threats but I ignored them.

“During the election time, I had to move into a client’s apartment at Cantonment. The threats were getting ridiculous so I had to move. We can agree to disagree but not threats”, she said.

The legal practitioner  was part of a four-member committee that administered the FA from September 2018 to October 2019 before handing over power to Kurt Okraku after elections in October 2019.
