Coach Otto Addo has announced a 25-player squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.

The team will see the return of defenders Alexander Djiku and Gideon Mensah, who missed the previous qualifiers against Angola and Niger.

One of the notable inclusions is FC Samartex left-back Isaac Afful, who earns his first call-up to the national team following a series of impressive performances in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League and the ongoing Premier League.

Additionally, Olympique Lyon forward Ernest Nuamah and Atalanta's Ibrahim Sulemana are back in the squad after recovering from injuries that sidelined them during last month’s qualifiers.

Ghana will host Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 11, before heading to Libya for the return leg at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benina on Tuesday, October 14, 2024.

The Black Stars aim to secure vital points to enhance their chances of qualifying for the tournament.
