A sex expert has revealed the one red flag in a relationship that you should never ignore.

Nadia Bokody says if your partner refuses to have sex with you if you’re on your period, you should leave them.

Whilst Nadia says you obviously shouldn’t pressure pressuring your partner to do anything they’re uncomfortable with in the bedroom, including period sex, if they’re repulsed by the thought of the natural process of menstruation you really shouldn’t be in a relationship with them reports Daily Star.

Talking about a woman’s confession to her, Nadia recalled the moment someone told her she doesn’t do period sex.

The woman said to her: “No I like it. My boyfriend doesn’t though. He says it’s a turn-off.”

And this isn’t a one-off.

Apparently the phrase: “My boyfriend won’t touch me on my period” has been searched over 11.8 million times, bringing up story after story of women whose partners are, in not so many words, grossed out by menstruation.

Also, according to a study in the journal,  Feminism and Psychology published in 2011, more often than not, women who had negative views of period sex experienced judgment or shaming around their period by a male sexual partner reports News.com.au.

Nadia goes on to explain: “If your partner refuses to have sex with you because they are repulsed, you probably shouldn’t remain in a relationship with them.

“This isn’t a question of respecting sexual boundaries, it’s a relationship red flag.

“In case you’re short on ideas for how to avoid making your man feel nauseous, there’s an entire segment of YouTube dedicated to ‘hacks’ to help girls conceal it from their boyfriends.

“There’s a disturbing segment of men who appear genuinely incapable of hearing the word ‘period’ without reeling in disgust.”

Nadia continued: “In reality, menstruation is one of the female body’s most incredible processes.

“Any guy who fails to see the hypocrisy in enjoying his partner’s body and then refusing period sex on the grounds of being ‘grossed out’ by bodily fluids, isn’t worth the time.”

And there are also plenty of health benefits to being intimate whilst on your period.

Not only does it help with cramping, but it also helps to shorten the overall length of the period cycle and can increases a woman’s sex drive.
