Five dead, others injured in Kumasi–Accra highway crash at Asuboi

At least five people have died and several others injured in a tragic accident on the Kumasi–Accra highway at Asuboi, near Suhum in the Eastern Region.

The crash occurred earlier today involving a Sprinter bus with the registration number GW-5535-24.

Eyewitnesses report that the vehicle was speeding when one of its tyres suddenly burst, causing the driver to lose control and crash. The force of the impact was devastating, and five passengers were confirmed dead at the scene.

Emergency response teams were delayed in reaching the crash site, with reports indicating that it took approximately 30 minutes for help to arrive. The injured were eventually transported to the Suhum Government Hospital for medical attention.
