Former Accra Lions attacker Lucky Nwafor joins Swedish First Division side Enkopings SK

Former Ghana Premier League club Accra Lions have confirmed the transfer of striker Lucky Nwafor to Swedish First Division outfit Enkopings SK.

The 21-year-old Nigerian forward, who netted 10 goals in 33 appearances for Lions last season, makes the move following the club’s relegation from Ghana’s top flight. Nwafor had joined the Accra-based side from Sunshine Stars in 2024.

“We can confirm the immediate transfer of Chinecherem Lucky Nwafor to Swedish side Enkopings SK… ALFC wishes Lucky all the best in this new step in his career!” the club posted on social media.

Speaking in his first interview, Nwafor expressed his eagerness to adapt quickly and contribute to his new club.

“Yes, I hope to show this in Enkoping. Now I’m going to train for a few days and then we’ll see if the coach picks me for Saturday’s match against Gefle,” he said.

“I’ve seen it but haven’t encountered it. So it will be an experience.”

Enkopings SK will be hoping the Nigerian’s arrival boosts their campaign as the second round of the Ettan League season gets underway.
