Ghana international Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer is on the verge of completing a move to French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, sources close to the deal have confirmed.

The 23-year-old forward is set to leave German side Hamburger SV in a deal worth €6 million, as per reports from French journalist Fabrice Hawkins. Königsdörffer is believed to have already agreed personal terms with Nice, and the transfer is now in its final stages.

Königsdörffer, who had a contract with HSV running until the summer of 2026, was one of the club’s standout performers last season. His departure is expected to be a major loss for the German second-tier side, especially as they prepare for another push for Bundesliga promotion.

The news of his exit has even eclipsed HSV’s recent announcement of assistant coach Merlin Polzin’s contract extension, highlighting the winger’s significance to the team.

A move to Ligue 1 represents an exciting new chapter in Königsdörffer’s career. Joining a top-flight French side like OGC Nice could bolster his development and improve his chances of securing regular call-ups to the Black Stars.

The switch is expected to be finalized in the coming days.
