Ghana Branded The "Worst" Dressed During Rio Olympics Opening Ceremony 6th August 2016 Team Ghana Share: Team Ghana By Sadat Apusi/Musah Abelyire/ghanaguardian.com An Australian Newspaper has branded Ghana as the worst dressed country during the opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. The Ghanaian contingent of 16 athletes were proudly dressed in the traditional kente outfit with the ladies in white blouses and the men in uniform black trousers for the glittering ceremony in Rio. However, the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper slammed the traditional dress style of the Ghanaian contingent as the worst of all 206 countries participating in the three-week event. "Worst dressed Ghana: Ghana are just attending an ugly sweater party? This is not a kitsch house party. While those skirts are very Gucci resort, this ensemble is busier than Pitt St during peak hour". The sydney morning herald writes. The summer Olympic Games began on August 5 and will continue till August 21, 2016 in the City of Rio de Janeiro.
