Former Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah has signed for Spanish lower-tier side Club Deportivo Torreperogil, marking the latest chapter in his long career in European football.

The move comes ahead of the 2025/26 winter transfer window, following his departure from Calahorra in the summer.

Brimah, 38, brings a wealth of experience to the Andalusian outfit. He has spent over a decade in Spain, playing for clubs including Linares, Estepona, and Calahorra, after first arriving in 2008. His career also saw a stint in South Africa with Mamelodi Sundowns, where he added continental pedigree to his résumé.

The club confirmed his arrival in a statement on social media:

“We are pleased to announce the addition of goalkeeper Razak to our team. A goalkeeper with proven experience at higher levels. Welcome.”

A Career of Highs and Heartbreaks

Brimah is best remembered internationally as Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, where the Black Stars lost the final to Ivory Coast in a dramatic 9-8 penalty shootout. He also started at the 2017 AFCON in Gabon, helping Ghana to a fourth-place finish.

At Torreperogil, his leadership and shot-stopping ability are expected to bolster the club’s push for promotion to the Segunda Federación, with officials hopeful his experience will inspire younger players.
