David Accam watches as Isaac Dogboe inks name in Ghana’s boxing folklore

Philadelphia Union/Ghana forward David Accam was in attendance to offer his support as Isaac Dogboe defeated Jessie Magdaleno to become World Boxing Organisation (WBO) super bantamweight champion.

Ghana’s Dogboe knockedout the Mexican in the 11th round at the Liacouras Centre in Philadelphia, USA, early this morning.

The 23-year-old nicknamed Royal Storm, recovered from a first round knockdown to produce an outstanding performance to beat the title holder in front of a very hostile crowd.

He takes his place in Ghana’s boxing history as the youngest ever world title champion.
